Announcing the stemverse soft-launch

Hi friends! I’m excited to share a side-project of mine, focused on increasing diversity in STEM. Some of you may have heard me talk about it, and now I’d like to ask you to check it out! Point your browser at http://stemverse.net. There you’ll find a listing of over 450 books, videos, and initiatives that feature diversity in various STEM subjects. We’ve spent time cataloging various media in terms of what sorts of STEM subjects they feature, what sorts of diversity they feature, target age ranges and other details. We think you’ll find this site to be a great resource for finding great books and other media to share with the kids in your life.

STEM is important to every kid in today’s world. Seeing diversity in all walks of life is important to every kid – not just to help under-represented minorities visualize themselves in each situation, but also to limit biased messages and expectations consumed by everyone. We believe that getting exposed to a great selection of books and videos is healthy for every kid. And we think our site can help you find those great resources.

My request of you: please check out our site, and share it out to your friends, family and co-workers!

I’d like to make it really easy for you: here’s some text you can copy/paste to share it to your network:
